The Week's recap

Good Morning, the volatility in the market seems to have no end as investors continue to see weakening economic data and lack of new ideas from Washington and Europe.

Fed Chairman Bernanke is facing unprecedented opposition as 3 members of the decision panel (FOMC) voted against this week’s decision to extend low rates to mid 2013.

On the political side, there is a growing belief that Texas Governor Rick Perry may run for President. Given Obama’s unfortunate lack of resolution (centrism has proven to be a disaster for him) and current economic circumstances, I believe there is a growing chance that we will have a Republican President in 2012.

For those of you looking for investment options, please read my last blog post for my comments on the rising attractiveness of the preferred market (they offer a nice middle point between high yielding stocks and lower risk bonds).

Have a good weekend!
